Temple of the Dog, released in 1991 provided the emotional outlet for soon to be rock legends Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder, and other members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden following the death of their fellow Grunge Era legend Andrew Wood. The cult classic spawned the two mega-hits : Hunger Strike and Say Hello to Heaven. Despite the amazing popularity and success of the album, the songs were rarely performed live as each of the members went on to form their respective Grunge Era hit bands : Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.
